Original dies are specifically designed for use with the Sizzix Machine. These dies are capable of cutting a wide variety of materials including paper, fabric and plastic. The sharp cutting edge is surrounded with rubber. 1. Raise the handle of the Sizzix Machine.
2. Place the material against the rubber side of the Originals Die. Place the Die and material rubber side down on the Cutting Pad (Figure A). 3. Slide the Cutting Pad with the Originals Die and material into the Sizzix Machine so that the Large Originals Die is under the Pressure Plate keeping the edge of the raised plastic shape flush with the back edge of the Pressure Plate (Figure B). Lower the handle to cut the first half of the Die.
4. Raise the handle and without removing the Die, slide the Cutting Pad until the remaining half of the raised plastic shape is under the Pressure Plate and lower the handle again to complete the cutting of the shape. 5. Raise the handle to it's full upright position and remove the Die and die-cut shape.
Instructions for Use With Sizzix Originals Medium Dies and Originals ShowBox Alphabet Dies
Originals Dies are specifically designed for use with the Sizzix Personal Die-Cutting System. These dies are capable of cutting a wide variety of materials including paper, fabric and plastic. The charp cutting edge is surrounded with rubber. 1. Raise the handle of the Sizzix Personal Die-Cutter. 2. Place the material against the rubber side of the Originals Die. Place the die and material rubber side down on the Cutting Pad. 3. Slide the Cutting Pad with the Originals Die and material into the Die-Cutter so that the die is completely under the Pressure Plate. Note: Medium size dies, when inserted horizontally, will fit evenly underneath the Pressure Pate (the edges of the die are flush with the edges of the Pressure Plate), allowing you to cut the entire shape with only one lowering of the handle. However, if the die does not cut completely with one lowering of the handle, insert the die vertically (Figure A) and lower the handle with only half the die under the Pressure Plate. Raise the handle without removing the die, slide the Cutting Pad until the remaining half of the die is under the Pressure Plate and lower the handle again to complete the cutting of the shape. 4. Raise the handle to it's full upright position and remove the die and die-cut shape.
