How To: Set Eyelets Print E-mail

The best way to describe an eyelet is as a simple metal tube with a rolled collar at one end. The collar end appears on your work whilst the rest of the metal tube is set and pushed beneith the under side of your work to hold it in place.

You will need;

  • eyelet
  • eyelet punch
  • eyelet setting tool
  • hammer
  • setting mat
  • card/paper

1. Using the setting mat beneath your card/paper, place the eyelet punch over your card/paper. Use the hammer to accurately and firmly tap the punch to create a hole in the card/paper.

2. Place the eyelet into the hole so that the collar or decorative side is on the top, visual side of your card/paper.
