How To: Use Shrink Plastic Print E-mail

 

Found in clear, frosted, black and white sheets, shrink plastic can be coloured with pencils, ink or chalk before shrinking by applying heat. Shrink Plastic cut be cut die cuts and will give your embellishments a glass look. Using rub ons also looks great. Once heated, Shrink Plastic will generally reduce to one-third of it's original size.

 

You will need;

  • Shrink Plastic sheet
  • Stamp
  • Permanent or fabric ink
  • Coloured pencils, inks, or chalks
  • Oven
  • Sand paper

 

1. Lightly sand the shrink plastic with sandpaper.

2. Apply ink to your stamp and then firmly apply stamp to Shrink Plastic sheet.

3. Once the image has dried (this won't take long) colour your image if you wish. You can use pencils, inks or chalks.

4. Gently cut out the design. If you are using as a charm, punch a hole where desired.

5. Place your cut out design onto a baking tray. Heat in the oven at 140C/275F for 3 - 5 minutes.
