Keepin' It Simple It's easy to forget to keep your cropping simple - there's no need to get too intricate. (especially when starting out!) Try a corner punch or decorative photo corners for quick and easy cropping. Making Paper Punch Shapes Bigger Using a piece of scrap paper, punch the desired shape. Now you will be needing the negative of the punch shape to photocopy. Enlarge the negative to the required size. Once complete, use the photocopy as your template. Sharpening Paper Punches To sharpen paper punches, punch aluminium foil several times. Sticky, Slow & Jammed Paper Punches For jammed punches, place them into the freezer for awhile. This helps to shrink the metal and frees up the punch. Lastly punch through wax paper. For sticky or slow punches, use wax paper to punch through several times to lubricate. No Pencil Lines! To get that perfect shape or pattern without drawing on photos, use a stencil and an embossing tool. This leaves an outline so that you know where to cut!
