Beads & ButtonsChipboard- Use the 'outers' of chipboard shapes and letters as stencils for use with paints and other mediums.
- Use chipboard as templates for stitching shapes
Eyelets- Use a self healing mat on a flat, stable surface when hammering
- Be gentle when setting eyelets with vellum paper - this is quite delicate!
- A few places you can use eyelets include corners of borders, edges of pages, and on your journaling squares.
- Eyelets can be used for such things as hanging wire, spinning multiple layers of paper (punch holes seperately though), decorations for die cuts such as eyes, connecting shapes and die cuts together - the list is just about endless!
- Feed ribbon, fibres, beads and just about anything you can fit through them.
- Don't do what I did and use something like your tall boy drawers to set eyelets or you will end up with holes in your furniture (not a good look!) - refer to point one!
Other- Use titles and pictures from the packaging of supplies and other items as embellishments and titles.
- Cut and use shapes, letters and motifs from patterned papers to embellish as elements.
Ribbons & Fibres- If you don't have the right coloured cotton, ribbon or fibre, drag a coloured ink pad across.
- To stitch shapes use stencils and chipboard shapes as templates
Rub-ons- Apply your rub-on to vellum then chalk the underside for subtle colour.
- Colour rub-ons with water colour pencils
